Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the IDONCLOUD Terms of Service and applies to all products and services provided by IDON DIGITAL SOLUTIONS, UNIPESSOAL LDA, operating under the IDONCLOUD brand.
The purpose of this policy is to protect our customers, our network, and the wider Internet from abuse, illegal activities and security threats.
1. General Principles
Customers must use IDONCLOUD services responsibly, legally and in a manner that does not negatively affect other customers, third parties or the stability of our infrastructure.
Customers are fully responsible for all content, software, traffic and activities conducted through their services.
2. Illegal Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national or international laws.
- Fraud, identity theft or financial crime.
- Distribution of illegal content.
- Copyright infringement.
- Child exploitation material.
- Terrorist or extremist content prohibited by law.
- Any activity intended to facilitate criminal behaviour.
3. Network Abuse
Customers may not use IDONCLOUD services to:
- Launch or participate in DDoS attacks.
- Perform network scanning without authorization.
- Exploit vulnerabilities belonging to third parties.
- Operate botnets.
- Interfere with other networks or services.
- Generate excessive or malicious traffic.
4. Malware
The following are prohibited:
- Malware distribution.
- Viruses.
- Worms.
- Trojans.
- Ransomware.
- Spyware.
- Backdoors.
- Command & Control (C2) infrastructure intended for malicious use.
5. Email Abuse
Customers may not use our services for:
- Unsolicited bulk email (Spam).
- Email spoofing.
- Phishing campaigns.
- Distribution of malicious email attachments.
- Operating open mail relays.
6. Hosting Content
Customers are responsible for all hosted content.
Content that may be removed or suspended includes:
- Illegal material.
- Copyright-infringing material.
- Malicious software.
- Fraudulent websites.
- Phishing pages.
- Content prohibited by applicable law.
7. VPN and Proxy Services
VPN and Proxy services are provided for legitimate business and personal use.
They may not be used to:
- Conduct illegal activities.
- Distribute malware.
- Commit fraud.
- Launch cyberattacks.
- Circumvent legal restrictions where prohibited by law.
The use of privacy technologies does not exempt customers from complying with applicable laws.
8. Resource Usage
Customers must not intentionally abuse shared infrastructure by consuming excessive CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth or other system resources in a manner that negatively affects other users.
Where necessary, IDONCLOUD may temporarily limit resource usage to maintain network stability.
9. Security
Customers are responsible for maintaining the security of their own systems.
This includes:
- Keeping software updated.
- Using secure passwords.
- Protecting access credentials.
- Monitoring their own services.
- Responding promptly to security incidents.
10. Abuse Reports
IDONCLOUD investigates abuse reports received from customers, network operators, rights holders and competent authorities.
Customers may be required to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Failure to cooperate may result in service suspension or termination.
11. Enforcement
Where this Acceptable Use Policy is violated, IDONCLOUD may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning.
- Temporarily suspend the affected service.
- Permanently terminate the service.
- Remove unlawful content where legally permitted.
- Report illegal activities to the appropriate authorities when required by law.
The action taken will depend on the severity and nature of the violation.
12. Changes to this Policy
IDONCLOUD reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated version.
